I gained the trust of my peers by providing them with assistance in data cleansing, retrieving quotes and doing various product matrices. In September 2015 I became a permanent employee at Onyx as a Sales Associatee. This new role allows me to manage my own accounts. I am now on a Progression Plan within Onyx and aim to work my way up to Account Manager, and who knows maybe even higher! In March 2016, I have gained the option to become an Accounts Executive. Which involves working closely with account managers, going on meetings with them, and also helping them out internally. Which will teach me more about the Onyx products and negotiations techniques. I studied Mechnical Engineering on a Pre-apprenticeship course. During my time at TTE, I was placed on a works experience course at SSI UK. Whilst there I learnt how to strip a centrifugal pump, find a fault, fix it, put it all back together and test it to make sure I had performed the task correctly. To gain this certificate my skills were tested and timed. One of the units in this course was to make a locking device within a 0.25mm tolerance. This was the most complex unit as I needed to tap and drill holes in set places otherwise the 5 locking devices I was using would not fit on to the small metal plates. Show less
