I am a graduate from Hampden-Sydney College, in Virginia. There I earned my Bachelor’s of Science degree after majoring in Biology and minoring in Leadership in the Public Interest.I was fortunate enough to gain research experience conducting my own research projects while completing my undergraduate degree. Those experiences have lead me to pursue a career in which I can apply my biology knowledge, as well as, continue to learn from new experiences. I had the privilege of working as a Lab Instructor for Genomics and Bioinformatics labs, as well as, Introductory Biology labs.My student research during my time at Hampden-Sydney was initially centered around analyzing Effects of Rising Oceanic Acidity on Baleen. I also had the opportunity to annotate the genome of two bacteriophages while attending college.These skills will all hopefully transfer into my professional life, and I look forward to better developing my own abilities as I continue to gain experiences.
