One of my projects revolved around manipulation of the epigenome. I have designed and produced constructs capable of in vitro DNA targeting and methylation resulting in modulation of gene expression. I worked in cultured mammalian cells and whole animal studies to discover new ways to study epigenetic gene regulation. In addition, I worked on other projects involving the creation of gene knock-out animals and other animals models using zinc-finger nucleases and transcription activator-like effector nucleases. -
