As a School Operations Manager, I managed a school site ranging from third to eighth grade, of 60 teachers in training and over 300 students. My role included building a strong school culture, developing and managing systems to maximize school-site efficiency, and facilitating communication between the school site and Teach For America. I also worked with and supported our teachers in training in and out of the classroom and tracked school data related to student achievement, attendance, and teacher effectiveness.

Teach For America is a national corps of leaders committed to teaching in low-income schools. During my time in Teach For America, I worked as a third grade teacher at Village Preparatory School, a Breakthrough Charter School. As a Teach For America corps member, I was also a 2016 Reality Revolve participant, where I was selected to travel to Israel for ten days for a leadership development experience focused around education equity.

I redesigned and supported the Rethinking National Security blog through research and analysis on national security threats and concerns in the U.S. and abroad. I edited posts made by my supervisor and provided all research material and fact checks needed for his original work. I also independently researched material for my own original post, along with continuously updating the database of followers and contacts. Along with the blog, I ran all social media sites and Linkedin for promoting the site. I also provided research on the conflict in Afghanistan to assist the Common Defense Campaign fellow.

Cleveland, Ohio

I used business intelligence when vetting through and analyzing potential international opportunities for the Cleveland Clinic. I worked on monthly financials with the project analyst and Senior Director. I also created a country profile of Qatar for future business ventures, and presented my findings to the executive board. My main project was crafting a Scope of Work inclusive of timeline and pricing to propose an International Chief Executive Fellowship under Cleveland Clinic International Education to be implemented in the fall of 2016.

Served as Syracuse Chapter Liaison for the Red Cross to increase awareness of international humanitarian law within the Syracuse community
