President Of The Kew Mutual Improvement Society
Held position of chair for a non-profit lecture series: Kew Mutual Improvement Society. My role consisted of organising, co-ordinating and hosting a popular weekly lectures series from September - March at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. I invited 25 top horticultural professionals from all walks of the industry, including James Wong, Dr Noel Kingsbury, Tom Stuart-Smith, David Domoney and among many others. I additionally managed a team of 10 people to help bring the lecture series to fruition. From our hard efforts, we raised £4000 towards our botanical field trip by selling tickets, refreshments and holding regular raffle events where we sourced many prizes through kind sponsors.

We arrange engaging horticulture talks on a regular basis to portray to students the amazing array of exciting career and educational opportunities available in the industry.

Started a one-year trainee placement funded on a scholarship by the Royal Horticultural Society (Susan Pearson Fund).
