I was the first person to arrange and get involved in this event as part of HCC's new funding initiative for My Voice volunteers.Embracing the great outdoors is known to be of great benefits to the mind in that it reduces people's anxiety levels while also improving their mood. Gardening may not be a magic bullet in evicting those inner demons, but it's a positive natural therapy countless studies past and present have backed for making an impact.We had students with varying needs from a local college nearby to help for the day. They had a good time mucking in installing the new plants and expressed desire to come back again. I'm very proud to have suggested the idea knowing the platform I kickstarted is a fantastic launchpad for volunteers to start their own up projects across Hertfordshire. Show less
