In my role at MPHI, I facilitate communication and community engagement for state-level environmental public health initiatives, including the Eat Safe Fish and PFAS Site Response programs. Our team's work focuses on enhancing public well-being through education about environmental health concerns, directly within the communities where people live.I’m passionate about making connections between people, ideas, and actions. I believe that trust and authentic dialogue are what make change possible.Much of this work is underpinned by my academic background, with a Master’s from Michigan State University in Community Sustainability and a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Plymouth. These experiences shaped my passion for sustainable communities, resilience, and environmental justice. My interest in behavioral and environmental psychology also shapes my approach, as I’m fascinated by how our minds and bodies respond to information - especially in processing complex or challenging topics. Understanding these dynamics helps to create environments where people feel safe, heard, and open to engaging with new ideas.Disclaimer: The views expressed here are solely my own as a private individual and do not reflect or represent the views or positions of my employer in any capacity unless explicitly stated otherwise.
