From October 2021 to March 2023, I spent my holidays working part time as a removals person for W.J. Edwards, based in Luton. I worked in small teams each day with different members of the general team, showing my adaptibility to working strongly no matter who I am asked to collaborate with. Having joined with no previous experience in this sort of environment, I felt very strongly driven to learn the trade and overcome the challenge of being a beginner. Having spent so long working with this company, it shows a clear loyalty in my work.

Working as a Food & Beverage Assistant during this summer period involved taking customer orders, payments and fulfilling these orders. I grew my skills within customer service hugely during this time making all visitors feel welcome and providing a friendly atmosphere, I really enjoyed talking with my customers and my confidence grew in this area. My problem-solving skills developed in this role and I demonstrated my ability to work well within a new team.

I spent October to December of 2023 working as a sales assistant for Domestic Appliance Care. In this role I was required to contact potential customers and sell them cover on their domestic appliances. This role has further helped me to develop my customer service skills, as I would spend my whole days talking on the phone to people. As well as this, my time in this environment has improved my knowledge of the sales world and has opened my eyes to how to really sell. While I only spent 2 months in this role leading up to Christmas, I was given thorough training upon starting and feel I can really use this skill now to propel me further through life.

Having spent a year as a student at Bournemouth University, I since decided to take a year out to explore career options instead.
