Harry Freeman is the Chief Commercial Officer for Leo Cancer Care. He has more than 35 years’ experience with cutting edge medical device technologies developed for radiation oncology and diagnostic imaging; and has worked for such industry leading companies as Compact Particle Acceleration Corporation (CPAC), TomoTherapy, Varian Medical Systems, Siemens Medical Systems, Philips Medical Systems and Landauer Medical Physics. Experienced in product development, technology evaluation, product introductions, operations, marketing and sales, Harry has sold over one billion dollars of capital equipment and services. At TomoTherapy, Harry was instrumental in the development and deployment of the world’s first mobile radiation treatment device, TomoMobile, and recently completed the design and development of a mobile Varian Halcyon system for Alliance Oncology.

Asto CT was founded on the principle of offering safe, high-quality volumetric imaging to improve quality of life for horses and ensure peace of mind for their owners. Our system for standing x-ray computed tomography (CT) is customized to meet the needs of horses in a safe and comfortable environment for the animal. We are pioneering the use of cutting-edge robotics in combination with advanced multi-slice CT to provide state-of-the-art screening and diagnosis. Our first mission is to improve diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the distal limb and diseases of the head and neck in horses.

ProtonVDA is a newly formed company engaged in the development of an advanced, compact proton imaging device. Once commercialized, the product will produce images using protons with sufficient energy to fully traverse the patient. These images will present proton stopping power precisely and quickly. The device will image patients with the same proton delivery system used for treatment, and in the same position. We have designed our system to be integrated seamlessly into proton therapy delivery systems, to ensure that patient imaging and treatment occur in close temporal proximity to each other, to streamline and simplify the patient dynamics, and to reduce complexity and expense. Our next step toward commercialization will be to build and operate a fully operational proton radiography system, with tracking detectors, a residual range detector, and a data acquisition system integrating data from both types of detectors and capable of sustained high-speed operation as well as calibration modes. Our plan includes a 40 cm x 40 cm field size, which is the largest size we anticipate customers needing. As well as supporting us with SBIR funds, the NIH has further invested in us by inviting us to attend the NIH I-Corp program which is designed to aid inventors and startups in the commercialization process. I-Corp has set a very high bar for participation and completion of this intense program and it is closely followed as part of the Vice Presidents “Moon Shot” war on cancer initiative.
