Recruited to fulfill this role many responsibilities and tasks were bestowed upon me. This included event coordination, assisting in fundraising efforts, intern and volunteer recruitment, intern and volunteer management, seeking endorsements from farmers and elected officials, connecting with local elected officials to convey ongoing issues in need of addressing at the federal level, contacting constituents through multiple streams of communication including email, calls, doors, and texts.

In this position I was assigned to the 2020 NY-22 congressional race in support of candidate Claudia Tenney. As Field Organizer I was responsible for recruiting interns and assigning their daily tasks, mostly split between door knocking and phone banking. I also was responsible for strategizing in which areas of the district to target for these assignments including Tioga, Cortland, Chenango, and Broome counties. I also recorded information for donor, volunteer, and stakeholder activities into spreadsheets to maintain follow up with campaign activity within the area.

While working in this position I assisted customers and account holders in researching and purchasing new parts whether that be at the counter or over the phone. I also saw that they be delivered in a timely fashion if need be.

Having been asked to assist in this role for a short time, I consulted in ways to help benefit local republican candidates running for election in the area by informing on where to recruit volunteers and interns along with areas that should be focused on with grassroots activities such as door knocking and phone banking.

While serving in this position I attended meetings alongside the campaign manager with concerned constituents looking to raise awareness on local issues. I also assisted in tracking the candidate in opposition to compare campaign focus on local issues.

While working out of the district office for Claudia Tenney, I was responsible for recording concerns or local issues that constituents may have raised and then conveying them to the district director along with the congresswoman herself. I had also assisted in opening cases for any constituent who had come into conflict with any federal agency of some sort along with training new interns within the office. I had also become responsible for maintaining a strong IT network in case we had come across any technical difficulties.

While starting as an intern and quickly moving up to this position, I assisted the field director in familiarizing him with the area and reaching out to voter trough grass roots operations such as door to door contact or making phone calls to engage prospective voters on the upcoming election at the time.

Program through 4-H Cornell Cooperative designed to introduce students to the responsibilities of local government and how it impacts our local community. As participants we were responsible for drafting legislation and voting as a model county legislature to pass those ideas or not. We also met and shadowed local elected officials within the county government along with other departments within the county. Through this program we learned a great amount on leadership, teamwork, and benefits of helping our local community.
