Harry has a proven track record of working with children, young people, adults and families across the health and social care system, delivering equality, diversity and inclusivity for all. Harry’s co-production and engagement work has ensured that Children and Young People (CYP) are listened to, heard and given a voice in how they want to grow up, learn, play, work, love and live well in their communities.Harry’s real passion revolves around people with a learning disability and autism, ensuring that everyone is treated with the parity of esteem that they deserve, no matter who they are, what their challenges are or where they come from. Being proactive rather than reactive is at the heart of all Harry’s work. Liaising with all partners across the system especially voluntary and 3rd sector colleagues who have the operational knowledge to advise, educate and train others for the benefit of their population.Work Summary:Harry began his career in the Royal Air Force as a Physical Training Instructor where he specialised in remedial therapy, working at RAF Headley Court with injured servicemen and women. Post RAF career, Harry was employed as a Senior Exercise Therapist with at the Fire Service Rehabilitation Centre in Penrith, Cumbria. Harry attended Lancaster University and graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy. In the following years Harry has worked at the Cumberland Infirmary as a rotational physiotherapist before specialising in Paediatric Physiotherapy and later moving into a management role, running the Children’s Physical Health Team in North Cumbria.Wanting to have a more strategic role across the health system and make a real difference for Children and Young People (CYP) Harry moved to become a CYP Commissioning Manager with Cumbria CCG and latterly North Cumbria CCG working specifically with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Currently Harry works for the NHS Business Services Authority, as their Regional Partnership Lead for the North of England. Harry’s primary role is to engage directly with Integrated Care Systems across the North of England to promote the benefits and services of the organisation.
