I have been employed as a Process Scientist since September 2021. My main responsibilities include supporting the development of active pharmaceutical ingredients through executing chemical development processes. This is done by communicating with multiple departments in order to facilitate effective and constant progress of development projects. My daily responsibilities involve executing processes and investigations to resolve issues and provide solutions to challenges in both the development and production departments.

This role involved the GMP production of radiopharmaceuticals: Fludeoxyglucose, Fluoroethylcholine and Sodium Flouride. Daily responsibilities included the inspection, operation and maintenance of equipment, planning and arranging the distribution of products and preparation and operation of synthesis and dispensing units. In this role I collaborated with the QC and QA teams, actively contributing to the quality system through writing standard operating procedures, change controls, corrective and preventative actions and deviation forms. This allowed me to develop an understanding of the quality assurance system required for GMP production of pharmaceuticals.
