Taking on the role of Transport & Operations Manager in July 2019 signified my reentry into the organisation. During this position, I achieved certification for both National and International Transport Managers CPC, and became an inclusion on the company's operators licence. My diverse range of duties and responsibilities encompassed the following:- Transport Management: Orchestrated the coordination of transportation logistics, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal route planning. Overseeing vehicle maintenance and ensuring all transport/drivers regulations were fully adhered to. This also included completing all legislation and paperwork, for international deliveries.- Staff Management: Oversaw a dynamic team of 12 staff within the office, warehouse and transport sectors of the business, fostering a collaborative environment and enabling them to excel in their roles. Incorporated 1-2-1 and group staff meetings to allow all staff members to be heard, contribute and vent. This has not only boosted morale but improved staff performances over time. Introduced staff bonus schemes and rewards for company loyalty and hard work.- Operations Management: Efficiently managed day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth functioning of all facets of the business. Incorporated the installation of an admin software system that has improved office efficiency, organised and mapped the warehouse storage digitally.- Estimating and Pricing: Calculated accurate estimates and pricing strategies to align with company objectives and market trends. Maintaining over 87% success rates in quotation acceptances.- Customer Inquiries & Complaints: Addressed customer inquiries promptly and managed complaints with a solutions-driven approach.- Marketing Activity: Executed marketing initiatives such as a 3rd party online reviews system, reworking our website to enhance brand visibility and attract new clients.

Within this capacity, I assumed responsibility for overseeing the intricate facets of logistics, meticulous planning, and successful delivery of customer orders. This encompassed several key areas, including orchestrating the meticulous organisation of customer orders for efficient picking within the warehouse. Furthermore, I expertly managed the intricate scheduling of deliveries through our in-house transport system, while also coordinating with third-party transport entities for seamless order fulfilment. This was mainly achieved whilst working with multiple softwares such as MaxOptra and Nav. My role extended to diligently addressing customer inquiries and compiling essential managerial reports to facilitate informed decision-making.

Commencing my journey as a furniture porter, I swiftly progressed through the ranks, transitioning from handling furniture and packaging customer belongings to assuming the role of a lorry driver. As I embarked on this new phase, I embraced the responsibility of not only driving but also took charge of leading compact teams and orchestrating the smooth execution of job operations.
