After my placement year, I returned to work part time at Webbs Garden Centre while completing my final year at University.

For my student placement year I worked as an IT Service Desk Engineer at National Star College. I worked as part of the Service Desk team to solve any issues that staff or students have. These ranged from answering general IT queries and performing password resets to troubleshooting and solving issues with a wide range of IT equipment, including laptops and computers, phones, tablets, printers and several disability devices.

Working within the hospitality sector has allowed me to adapt within a fast-paced environment, where it is important to work within a team but also be flexible with the work given. I have been trained to work on tills, drinks, and tables, where a high level of customer service is vital. During the pandemic I also helped work in the garden centre store, stocking shelves, working on the tills, collecting, and cleaning trolleys, monitoring the number of customers in the store at one time, helping customers with lifting objects and putting items into their cars and dealing with customer queries.
