After a long interest in Law stemming from studying Citizenship GSCE, followed by achieving an A* in Law at A level I began my 3 year LLB Law degree at the University of Essex in October 2022. After a enjoyable yet productive first year I achieved a 2:1 grade.Throughout the summer of 2023 I have attended open days at law firms such as Herbert Smith Freehills seeking to learn more about the industry and attempt networking, which has only served to increase my interest and determination to find a career path in the Law industry.Having achieved a further 2:1 grade for my second year and inclusion on the deans list of excellence. I am now looking forward to starting my third year and completing my summers work experience beginning with shadowing a Barrister for a couple of days in Cambridge in August, followed by a week working in London with Adair. I currently work part time at the West Mersea East of England COOP and have done so since April 2022.This job has taught me new valuable skills such as working professionally in a team and individual problem solving. In addition it is always a pleasure to help when requested by one of my managers to train new colleagues, demonstrating both my approachable nature and confidence in my abilities my managers feel in me.
