Project managed delivery of CRUK’s new Flexi-Grant system, which is used to manage the end-to-end grant application process from application through to payment. This was a major programme for CRUK, replacing the existing outdated on-premise system with a new SaaS solution and involved a major data migration and integration with finance and reporting systems. The programme is on track to be delivered on budget, despite challenging circumstances resulting from the COVID epidemic.

• Transformed Informa’s B2B Intelligence (data-driven) products through leadership of projects and programmes, meeting aggressive growth plans required by Informa’s Growth Acceleration Programme. This programme resulted in a successful transition from largely static data products to cloud-based, interactive digital portals. The first portal delivered through this Programme achieved Highly Commended (2nd place) in the Digital Project of the Year category at the 2017 UK IT Industry Awards.• Managed full lifecycle of Intelligence programme, from concept through to delivery, change management and go-to-market. Worked closely with technology leads and product managers to implement agile delivery approach (Scrum and Kanban) and continuous improvement processes.• Implemented streamlined process for managing and reporting on portfolio of projects, from project ideas and funding decisions through to delivery and closure.• Working to unmovable timelines and challenging budgets, successfully delivered back-office projects (Salesforce and finance systems) enabling the merger of two companies within the Informa group (Ovum and ITM). Supported organisational change resulting from this merger though excellent working relationships with senior management, product management, technology leads and other business functions.

• Managed team to provide flawless results services for table tennis at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.• Prepared test plan, test scripts and managed testing process for results software and data distribution systems. Managed defect fixing process, working with several suppliers (Atos, Swiss Timing, DeltaTre), both co-located and offshore. Thorough testing ensured there were no issues with table tennis results reported at the Games. • Operationally managed results services during the Games, leading team of 50, including volunteers and experienced staff from Swiss Timing. Results services during the competition ran smoothly and to the satisfaction of multiple stakeholders, including the IOC, broadcasters and spectators.• Used excellent communication, planning and organisational skills to build great working relationships with the multiple stakeholders involved, especially with the sporting federation (ITTF) responsible for running the competition and the media organisations reporting the event.

Managed team to enhance the systems and processes used by the Trust’s Grants Management and Funding divisions, as well as data provided from these systems used throughout the Trust. This was an operational management role, with line management responsibility for a team of four Business Analysts and Data Analysts, plus several contract staff. During this time, I also managed several projects, including setting up grants systems for the Wellcome Trust India Alliance, based in Hyderabad.

The Grant System Project was a £15m project to replace the organisation’s multiple grant systems with a single, bespoke, end-to-end web-based system. I led the data migration workstream, which involved successfully cleansing and migrating data from over 30 data sources into a single target database.

As Data Analyst I was responsible for providing Business Intelligence reports covering both operational efficiency and grant funding activities, using Crystal reports and later Business Objects WEBI.
