In my role as a Team Leader, I hold the position of Commander for a twelve man Team. I am in overall command for the operational output of my team in a nuclear security role. I have been instrumental in designing and implementing highly complex training packages to ensure my team remains well prepared for the evolving threats to UK nuclear security.Furthermore, I have led my team alongside multiple agencies in the urban, maritime and industrial environment. Beyond my operational duties, I take pride in being a mentor, coach, and role model to my team, providing guidance and support both professionally and personally. My contributions extend to the developed and refinement of standard operating procedures, working closely with civilian and military agencies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.I have completed a Defence Trainer Course (DTTT), equivalent to Level 4 Education and Training, which has further enhanced my ability to deliver high quality training and development initiatives to my team. In addition to my operational duties, I had the distinct honour of being deployed as an instructor on a Short Term Training Team (STTT) deployed to Eastern Europe. My role encompassed the critical task of training and fostering the professional development of partner forces, with the overarching objective of enhancing their operational capabilities and strengthening diplomatic relations between our respective nations. As a cohesive team, we undertook the intricate process of designing and customising a training program tailored to meet the specific needs of our partner forces, all while remaining culturally sensitive and aware of the differences that existed between our backgrounds. This experience furthered my understanding of international collaboration and the vital role it plays in global security.

During my Platoon Weapons Class 2 Course, I embarked on a comprehensive training journey that began with the Close Quarter Battle Instructor (CQBI) Course. Subsequently, I advanced my expertise by successfully completing the Tactical Site Collection Instructor Course, Urban Operations Instructor Course, and the PT Close Combat Unit Instructors Course. My dedication and performance during these courses were recognised when I earned the distinction of being awarded the Top Student of the course.

I completed the Skill at Arms Course, which equipped me with the essential skills to proficiently plan and conduct exercises and training while ensuring safety standards were maintained. During this course, I attained a series of firearms and tactical exercise safety qualifications including B, E, F, I, K, L, M, and N. These qualifications have significantly enhanced my capacity to mentor and develop Royal Marines, whether through live weapon range activities, blank fire training exercises, or the successful management of annual weapon tests, contributing to the overall readiness and effectiveness of the unit.

Upon my promotion to the rank of Corporal, I pursued further professional development by attending both the Corporal Leadership Development Course and the Tactical Commanders Course. These intensive programs subjected me to rigorous assessments encompassing physical fitness, advanced navigation skills, and effective leadership capabilities.In particular, the Tactical Commanders Course placed a strong emphasis on evaluating my leadership acumen during demanding field exercises, where I demonstrated the ability to lead my team effectively in challenging scenarios. While serving as a Lance Corporal, I played a pivotal role in supporting MAB2 and MAB6 in the realm of UK Counter Terrorism, fulfilling urban and maritime roles while collaborating seamlessly with various agencies. Additionally, I provided support to MAB2 during two UK Special Forces (UKSF) global operations, contributing my expertise to these high-stakes operations. My duties often placed me in a multi-agency, multinational context, where I worked alongside partner forces in covert and hostile operations, ensuring operational success in complex environments. Furthermore, I had the privilege of collaborating with foreign forces in a training and advisory capacity, fostering international cooperation.During my tenure at MAB7, I undertook specialized training, the highlights including the completion of the Operator Medic Course and the SERE C (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) course, further enhancing my skill set and readiness for challenging assignments.

Following the successful completion of Royal Marines recruit training, I was assigned to 43 Commando, where I commenced my service as a Trident Nuclear Security Operator. Within twelve months of my assignment, I earned a promotion to the rank of Lance Corporal, assuming the role of second-in-command for an eight-member team responsible for executing dynamic nuclear security operations.Furthermore, I undertook additional training to enhance my skills, successfully completing the Royal Marines Pistol Combat Marksmanship Course. These experiences and qualifications have contributed significantly to my proficiency and readiness in security operations.
