ArtistPowers Studio 1970 - 2009I work each day in my studio on painting and sculpture. In addition to studio work I was Professor of Art at San Jose State University for 30 years. I share the studio with Berlioz, Stravinsky, Mahler, and other friends who do their thing and do not leave any mess. The sculpture is primarily bronze or aluminum. Paintings are mostly acrylic but sometimes I use oil paint. Sculpture is cast at an outside foundry.Often the same content or theme occurs in both painting and sculpture. Often the images are explored on the computer but the final finished work is much more articulate when produced with the tactile sensory qualities of its materials contributing a human passion.
