Waypoint Technology Group is an authorized Trimble dealer/distributor operating in New York and all of New England. My role at Waypoint is to help our clients use the latest hardware and software for Civil, Architectural, Survey, GIS and BIM applications through consultation, training and unsurpassed support. Professional Training is a big part of my job. I have been using Trimble technology throughout my career as a land surveyor. This has helped me to follow the evolution of these products and gain a deeper understanding of how they are best used and relate this to others. Three of the systems I specialize in are 3D laser scanners, Robotic Total Stations and GNSS Positioning systems.

During my time at CT Male I provided technical field and office support for a number of large scale projects. As a crew chief I was to provide technical & managerial leadership for the field survey personnel. As a Survey technician my duties included data reduction, boundary analysis and computations, title research, field crew preparation and some drafting. As GPS manager I was responsible for all aspects of any projects that relied heavily on the use of GNSS technology. This included budgeting, coordination, mission planning/network design, processing, quality assurance, reporting and creating the final deliverables.

At Tommell & Associates I was an instrument technician. This job required me to use a standard total station, data collector and level with accuracy and reasonable speed to complete common survey tasks. I performed necessary field checks, kept notes, and made various field calculations. Other duties included some field note reduction, deed plots and the use of incidental equipment such as a surveyor's compass, scientific calculator, hand level, magnetic locator and an inclinometer.The predominate amount of my time at this firm was spent with the same crew chief. When I started I was hired as a rod man for a three man crew. Very shortly thereafter I was promoted to an instrument technician. My responsibilities grew to include the calibration and maintenance of our equipment, a working knowledge of any technical field aspects we may encounter, and an independent check for field computations. In my crew chief's absence I was to run the crew.
