Being a parent is perhaps the hardest job I've ever done. Watching, teaching, nurturing, disciplining, encouraging, worrying. And in the end, being that proud Papa as they go into the world with the tools necessary to be accountable, and make others happy, like themselves. That's my philosophy in the restaurant business also. Employees, managers, vendors...all require and deserve this same devotion and passion. I was taught, as a youngster, the advantages, benefits of being honest and showing your integrity in everything you do, and with everyone you meet. Likewise, I also learned how the damage and hurt of failing at these 2 qualities could negatively impact your playtime, Lol! Being loyal to these beliefs has afforded me the respect of many of my 'kids' growing up in the business. I sleep well, and my mirror still smiles back at me! That's why I have consistently built teams that are winners. I love overachievers!
