As a senior analyst in the global RaboResearch Food & Agribusiness team I have gathered extensive experience in supporting the bank’s mission. My role is to provide sector and company views as well as knowledge, expertise and insights about global Food & Agribusiness (“F&A”) market trends. My expertise encapsulates all major niches within Farm Inputs, including fertilizer, seeds, agro chemicals, agricultural machinery and animal nutrition. I have extensive experience in primary agriculture in both Europe and other major markets gained through a lifelong career in the F&A industry.Prior to joining RaboResearch in 2006, I was a credit analyst at Rabobank and before that, research analyst in Rabobank’s Economics Research department. Before working for Rabobank, I was employed by the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture for six years, working mainly in the Ministry’s Department for International Affairs, where I focused on various aspects of the European Common Agricultural Policy. I have a masters degree in Agricultural Economics from the Agricultural University in Wageningen, and grew up on a mixed dairy and hog farm in the Netherlands.My goal is to touch people's soul by contributing to their thought processes. My strength is to make people aware of the bigger context in which they operate. I have a special place in my heart for the farmer, as I was born a farmer's son and still many of the people I know make their living in this beautiful sector.
