Currently managing a team of sixty associates where I lead through six managers reporting directly to myself. Departments include Business Licensing, Billing, Alcohol & Beverage, Procurement, Store-Setup and IT.

Responsible for leading and managing the Site Construction Safety, Environmental, and Security programs for a 500,000 square foot plant on 150 acres of land for the Mars Topeka, Kansas site.• Provided Safety, Environmental, and Security leadership for the Topeka site during development and execution of the largest Chocolate project in Mars. Led efforts to exceed TRIR goal consecutive years, hitting TRIR of less than 1.7 for 2013 and no LTI during the life of the project.• Developed a SES Construction Management system which identified best practices during the design, construction/installation, and commissioning validation phases for future construction projects. In partnership with Site SES Champion and regional peer, rolled out CARES Behavior Based Safety program at Topeka site.• Developed and designed the Construction Level II standard for global community. Created a Regional Construction Safety Standard that is now used as the Global Mars' Construction Standard for all sites.• Worked to build a safety culture through safety training of over 2000 associates and contractors, initiating an on-site review of the Emergency Preparedness Plan with the City of Topeka Fire Department, and establishing a Mars associate Inspection Safety Sheet for daily safety audits. • Acquiring and enforcing proper permitting for all job site activity, specifically directing the efforts of contractors, city officials, and Mars associates in obtaining the air permit for the Topeka site.

Planned, developed and executed current/ new business sales and marketing activities in order to meet company’s goals for growth, retention and profitability. Managed and prepared government request for quotes and request for proposals.• Led sales team which generated over 8.6 million dollars working with United States Navy and defense contractors Northrop Grumman and BAE.• Landed major contracts developing new applications with private companies working with the United States Coast Guard and United States Navy.• Led team of sales engineers design new military/commercial applications as well as improve on existing applications operating in the fleet. • Developed and designed cost savings strategies which saved clients millions of dollars in operation/maintenance fees.• Executed monthly cold call blitzes aimed at Defense Contractors and attended numerous conferences highlighting the value of our products through our green initiative

Managed a budget of 13 million dollars and responsible for establishing and executing purchasing strategies for manufacturing materials and OEM products. Oversaw alpha development, beta, testing, and launch of product for worldwide distribution that was delivered below budget and on time. • Partnered with strategic groups (Legal, RD&E, Finance, Marketing, Quality, and OEM Supply base) to execute 1.3 million dollars in cost reductions over a one year period. • Negotiated 3 new contracts- Horizon, KMC, Spark Holland (New Open Architecture). Renegotiated 5 expired contracts- CTC, Hanson Research, SSI, Syagen, Peak Scientific. Early involvement with marketing to validate 2 potential new suppliers: Tecan Switzerland and Labomatic.• Initiated and managed non-disclosure agreements to protect intellectual property. Performed surface ship surveys and analysis in electrical and combat systems areas. Conducted safety surveys and presented training to 40 ships, contributing toward achieving the Secretary of Defense’s 75% mishap reduction goal. • Served as a vital team member on a project that applied the use of Lean Six Sigma to improve the process of mishap notification, investigation, reporting, and endorsement.• Rapidly qualified as Weapons Surveyor and Safety Analyst facilitating greater flexibility in the scheduling of safety surveys and enhancing overall customer service.• Demonstrated exceptional critical thinking skills when assigned to analyze casual factors of recent afloat mishaps. Detailed analyses and recommendations were instrumental in developing lessons learned, safety advisory messages, and policy updates. • Planned and coordinated Culture Workshop on board the USS Harry S. Truman. Organized and facilitated several focus groups to obtain valuable inputs from a cross-section of sailors. Workshop feedback was developed into deployment training, readiness aids, and risk management tools.

Trained officers on the Navy’s Special Incident Reporting process while managing a division of 26 personnel. As Legal Officer, flawlessly handled Non-Judicial Punishment proceedings, power of attorneys, court continuances, and all other legal issues.• Coordinated the movement of over 14 tons of parts, mail, and food while deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.• Recognized for leading division to an overall advancement rate of 66%. • Selected to coordinate space closeout process within the Operations Department during the de-commissioning of the USS Austin. Successfully met all milestones ahead of schedule.

Coordinated and monitored the overall safety of the ship and a division consisting of 35 personnel. Managed the divisional maintenance program. Directly responsible to the Commanding Officer on all matters.• Technical expertise and keen resource management resulted in the division providing 100% reliable communications in support of EUCOM (Europeans Commanders) 05.• Implemented an effective training program which created a positive climate within the division. Results allowed subordinates to increase their existing duty sections from 3 to 5, minimizing individual duty time.
