As a Dialogue Designer with PolyAI, I use linguistic and computational skills to design and maintain AI conversational agents that are genuinely enjoyable to interact with.Prior to this I enjoyed a research career in Forensic Linguistics, with a particular focus on automatic techniques and non-speech vocalisations (is there individual-specific information present in laughs, coughs, screams etc, and if so, what are the practical forensic applications of this?).I am also a classically trained baritone, and recently sang for a year at Canterbury Cathedral. I continue to take freelance gigs (chorus and solo) where possible.
