Research Analyst (U.S. Mission To The United Nations)
CurrentResponsible for conducting research on a broad range of political, social, legal, financial, and parliamentary questions concerning the United Nations and United States foreign policies. Manage the Mission’s permanent central files, UN documents, specialized library collections.Partner with the Bureau Records Officer to provide Records Management services to the Mission and Department of State Personnel.Works closely with the Research Unit Chief and IT Personnel on technological development including digitization projects allowing for fully computerized record keeping.Develop and design the Research Unit’s SharePoint site as well as maintaining the Research Unit’s other digital footprints such as its wiki page at the Department of State.Maintain and update all Research Unit’s Standard Operating Manuals and Procedures.Responds and completes Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request within the timeframe designated by the USUN FOIA officer and the Department of State FOIA office.Tracks United Nations voting practices and submit entries for the annual report to Congress on voting at the United Nations.
