I am a qualified Professional Engineer with APEG BC, a Certified Energy Manager with the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), and have also completed my MBA at the University of Victory. As I have completed an electrical apprenticeship at the start of my career, I feel I have established a very broad and detailed understanding of the engineering field and therefore provide true leadership to any team I am involved with.My main strengths are project management, team building through coaching / mentoring and taking a structured approach to problem solving. I feel my greatest achievement in my career was while working as the Maintenance Manager with LG electronics. I was responsible for hiring and developing the maintenance team to help install, commission and then maintain a new manufacturing facility in Wales UK. This was a £1.6 billion investment by LG Electronics in a green field site. I was required to demonstrate leadership and team work to successfully lead the maintenance team in South Korea to learn all the technical aspects of the process and overcome the cultural differences between Korea and the UK all while project managing the installation teams from various countries to complete the project on time and on budget. I have now acquired over 20 years of leadership / project management experience within industrial environments. This has allowed me to gain valuable experience in all areas of industry which include Health and Safety, Quality, Production and the Environment. I feel I would bring a hands-on approach to your management team, and with my engineering background and leadership qualities provide an environment where logical and innovative solutions can be developed to achieve the successful completion of all projects.
