KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Quality & Testing Support to Development Teams • Providing expertise to cross functional development and R&D Teams• Ensure that products and materials are developed and tested to meet briefs• Providing technical expertise to Sales and Marketing to support pitching for and winning new business.• Work with external testing partners and equipment suppliers to further D3O’s testing capabilities.Maintaining Lab Infrastructure • Manage internal test lab facility to ensure all test lab equipment is maintained in operational condition with regular maintenance and calibration service as required.• Lead development of new laboratory test procedures, standards, and processes.Testing Knowledge Capture • Lead drive for competitor product and material testing• Building and maintaining databases and to support sales and marketing activities.• Creation of internal and external facing test reports. External Partner Research • Coordinate and lead high level research with external partners, such as Universities. • Act as an industry mentor on project collaborations with academic partnersQuality Verification and Documentation • Ensure adherence to standards is always achieved. • Compilation and verification of quality control documentation for required product groups. Manufacturing Continuous Improvement • Assisting in projects to drive waste reduction, improve process or manufacturing efficiency, or cost reduction.• Provide technical expertise to project teams with regards to manufacturing techniques and design for manufacture.• Root cause and remedy issues within the manufacturing facilities, using root cause analysis tools (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why’s).

The purpose of this project was to identify distinct patterns in the golfers kinematic and kinetic variables from a large cohort of golfers with modification to golf club properties.• Capture specific golf club metrics (swingweight, club mass, mass distribution)• Monitor variables such as centre of pressure and centre of gravity using force plates• Use VICON motion capture system to track golfer’s kinetic movements throughout the swing• Create golfer model using Visual 3D to allow interpretation of lower extremity variables (hip / knee / ankle joint angles & torques etc.)

Specialist Sport Shoes Ltd. are responsible for the distribution and selling of Adidas’s specialist sports categories within the UK as well as some other territories. • I was given sole responsibility for the running of the company sponsorship duties for a period of my tenure at Specialist Sports. Which meant dealing with around 150 sponsored players across various sports to ensure they had all the kit they required.• Communicated and liaised sales deals for various accounts such as Surrey CCC, ensuring that warehouse stock levels were communicated to satisfy their orders.• I was also able to experience the various functions of the warehouse, understanding functions such as stock management and how orders are both sent and received by the warehouse.

My job function was product development where I was responsible for developing shoes across a range of sports including; tennis, cricket, hockey rugby and badminton.• This experience provided me with an invaluable opportunity to understand the full development process specifically in sports shoes. From receiving of samples from factory through to confirming confirmation samples for production.• I was actively given responsibility for around 50 new colour projects during my time as an intern• I was also actively given responsibility for some new silhouette / design pack projects, something not frequently offered to interns• Attended and lead concept review meetings with relevant representatives from marketing, design and development to discuss samples received and take note of points discussed by all parties to communicate to the factory for subsequent samples.
