Chief of Staff of a US Army bilingual Department of Defense Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, Multinational (JIIM) Institute which annually conducts professional military education and training for approximately 1,500 international students from throughout the Western Hemisphere. Directs and supervises a staff composed of 245 military members and 75 Department of the Army civilian employees while managing a $9.3 million dollar budget and accounting for over $11 million dollars of property and equipment. Conduct coordination with domestic and international higher echelons of management.Supervises Human Resources (HR) department by providing oversight of organizational recruitment, interviews, and hiring processes. Responsible for the administrative actions for leave, pay, and training of the civilian workforce as well as the adherence to Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC) policy. Utilize talent management and knowledge of organization priorities to provide guidance and recommendations for workforce staffing.

Major conduit for the organization’s Special Operation Forces (SOF) interests, goals, and programs throughout South and Central America. Coordinated and synchronized efforts directly with U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Regional Affairs (ORA), U.S. Department of State (DoS), U.S. Secret Service (USSS), partner-nation security forces and other governmental agencies to meet organizational and appropriate U.S. Embassy objectives. As Chief of Current Operations, responsible for oversight of all current operations involving Special Operations Forces. Maintained situational awareness of all current operations and directed actions as necessary. Served as a subject matter expert on engagement, integration of interagency and military operations within the scope of U.S. Government (USG) policy with an emphasis in fiscal and statute authorities. Exercised broad initiative and judgement in developing operational proposals and providing oversight to operations. Possess a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of interagency structure, missions, programs, goals, and objectives.

Commanded a USARMY Special Forces detachment. Provided tactical, technical, and strategical guidance on special operation missions and special forces core task in support of national command authority objectives. Actively trained, advised, and assisted allied national military and police units engaged in counter narcotics terrorists and counter terrorist operations. Deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. As the theater plans and operations officer, coordinated Special Forces actions for the Northern and Southern theaters of operation. Monitored deployments for 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne) worldwide. Coordinated directly with higher echelons of command, and major subordinate units for planning and execution of exercises and regional operation contingencies. Served on the Colombian Joint Special Operations Headquarters in Bogota, Colombia. Coordinated and assisted in the planning and development of special operations training and doctrine with Colombian staff in support of United States national policy objectives. Directly supported special operations command organizations and the United States ambassador to Colombia.
