About Harry Wise

I'm a Subsystem Architect at AMD working on ASIC development for the next generation GPUs and APUs. My current focus is on the Control Subsystem to provide 1) unique capabilities in interfacing the Radeon graphics processor with industry standard SW APIs e.g. Vulkan, Direct3D/DirectCompute, OpenGL/OpenCL and HSA/AQL. 2) world-class power management systems comprised of sophisticated hardware design techniques and firmware algorithms to monitor activity and achieve the highest performance per watt. In past experiences, I have worked as a system engineer at Real3D Inc. developing a real-time 3D game engine and driving/shooting games for Sega Model 2 arcade systems, systems engineer at GE Aerospace developing photo-visual image processing software to produce geodetic terrain texture maps for Compuscene image generators, and Digital Flight Simulator Specialist maintaining systems and performing component-level repair on F-4E Phantom II flight simulators in the US Air Force.
