Member of the Infrastructure / Systems Architecture Team with emphasis on virtualization, server, database, and storage technologies. Responsibilities include gathered customer requirements, architecting new organization virtual data center, and coordinating resources for projects.Selected Accomplishments:Architected the Lab buildout in Pune, India to replace the Bangalore Lab as part of a datacenter consolidation effort. Key Aspects/Challenges: Engineering Requirement gathering, time differences and having regular communications with remote India QA team, coordinated migration activities with remote team, provided specifications for local procurement of servers and storage, and provided the new datacenter design to support QA/Dev growth requirements.Architected addition of Oracle Database Appliance to the Bangalore Lab. Key Aspects: Prepare Databases for migration to new Pune datacenter, local procurement of servers, and coordinating activities with remote India QA team.

Managed Tier 2 team responsible for supporting infrastructure services in a 24x7 environment for a +400 Millions Dollar per year business. Infrastructure services include Storage (SAN and NFS), VMWare (Dell and UCS), Backup, Database servers (AIX and Oracle Enterprise Linux) and OS (Linux and Solaris). The team was responsible for deploying new architectures and supporting existing servers and services. Additional responsibilities included capacity management, security compliance and participated in TADD reviews.Selected Accomplishments:Implemented Cisco UCS Flexpod design into Production Environment. Key Aspects/Challenges: Integration and management of VMware, Cisco UCS and Netapp storage into Flexpod design. The review and verification of new procedures for configuration of service profiles. Ongoing tuning of the operational support procedures as new issues occur.Enforced Security PCI and FISMA compliance. Key Aspects: Used Qualys scanner and Government custom scripts to identify confirmed and potential vulnerabilities on host systems. Then the major work was remediating issues, documenting exemptions, or identifying mitigating controls.Technical evaluation UCS Flexpod and VCE VBlock. Key Aspects: Compared and reviewed new technology and deployment procedures for implementation into production environment. New concepts include the abstraction of the Server layer and understanding the Cisco methods and configuration procedures.Technical evaluation, PoC and Implementation of Oracle Exadata to replace AIX infrastructure. Key Aspects: From an operation support perspective, review of Oracle integrated appliance solution for database servers and associated storage. By using their appliance model, the issues of component/firmware compatibility are managed by Oracle rather than an internal standards team. This included the hardware failover testing.

• Deploying VMware Infrastructure• Implemented Centralized Sign On project. Primary person incorporating Active Directory into a enterprise wide heterogeneous OS environment. Tested, and accessed Quest’s Unix user authentication solution and resolved any related issues for a smooth production deployment. Created operational documents and procedures. Upon completion VRSN will: (1) comply with SOX regulations, (2) mitigate security risks, control user access, and enforce security policies and (3) reduce user account management time by over 99%.• Deploy and support AIX DB servers with EMC Storage for new services and replacement of aging SUN systems. Deployment includes upgrading Managed Security Services with 10 Terabyte of storage, handling up to two billion transactions/day.• Lead technical contact for Operations computer security issues.

• Maintain and support company’s NFS cluster and data feeds systems (which gathers information from 3rd party partners)• Collaborate with software engineers to ensure that feeds were properly monitored and functioning• Configure systems and network parameters as needed• Instrumental in the launch of $4.4 million NCR data warehousing project
