Varied insurance industry experience ranging from company underwriter, agency principal to Senior Vice President of a national brokerage firm. Have expertise in creating financial management programs that included risk management, self-insurance and captive insurance companies. Managed insurance programs for several NYSE companies, which included a national broadcasting company, multiple theme amusement parks, movie production company, national retailing and manufacturing operations, hospitals, auto leasing and rental, heavy machinery manufacturing and even a national property & casualty insurance company. Also, created an outdoor recreation industry captive for canoe livery & whitewater rafting operators and served as it president. Created another single parent captive insuring automobile, general liability and workers; compenation for a broadcasing and theme amusement park company -The Hartford's first captive.Served the University of Cincinnati as a member of the College of Business Advisory Council, President of the College of Business Alumni Association, National President of the University of Cincinnati Alumni Association and the Alumni Representative to the University of Cincinnati Board of Trustees. The City of Cincinnati used my lifetime of boating and river interests as a member of the city’s Waterfront Advisory Council, where I served as its chairman for 10 years. The city also used my talents as a member of Riverfront Advisory Council to advise its planning and economic development departments. Created a PEO (Employee Leasing Company) and served on the Board of Directors of the Sycamore National Bank. I was Chairman of Planning for the 1988 American Red Cross National Convention after serving as a board member and Water Safety Chairman. In 1995 he received the University of Cincinnati’s College of Business Distinguished Service Award for his service to the college, the university and the community as a whole.
