With financial backing from a major global wireless equipment vendor, I participated in the UK Government auction of 3.4GHz radio spectrum. I didn't secure any spectrum licenses but had more fun than sitting my AS Physics and Economics exam modules.As wireless technology developed I became heavily involved with WiMAX (802.16d and .16e) & 4G LTE, including in 2007-9 leading the public trials of WiMAX with the Mobile WiMAX Acceleration Group.Left the wireless industry in 2011 and partnered with a friend to start an international shipping company, exporting British goods around the world. Designed and implemented a bespoke software application to automate and streamline operations. Our 5-star rated parcel consolidation, forwarding and dangerous goods services have shipped 200k+ parcels to tens of thousands of customers around the world. Led the expansion of operations to the USA in 2018.
