Masters educated, world-travelled, working in operations management with a broad range of applicable skills. Leader by example, overseeing a multidisciplinary team of ~38 people. I set extremely high standards for myself, enjoy working, and the process of improvement is what drives me. Interests include weightlifting, horology, travel, business development, and generally keeping myself busy. Academically, I’ve thrived in a business finance background. A comprehensive understanding of all managerial, financial, and tax accountancy was attained during my undergraduate degree in Liverpool. Subsequent postgraduate study in Leeds cemented a deeper understanding of corporate finance and a broad comprehension of financial law. Specific, extensive, and rather enjoyable periods of this study were devoted to international tax law and policy. Post formal education, I've continued to read around business development, and have dipped into marine diesel engineering. In January 2024, I took on the role of general manager with both Chesterboat and Commercial Boat Services. At 23 years old, this represents a challenging management position and is exactly what I’m seeking at this stage of my career - a role that pushes me toward a strong, holistic skill set. Over the next three years, my workload will scale up as I manage and develop both sides of the business, take on more of the director’s responsibilities, and hold the company's hand through an important transitional period.
