As a formal mentor in the Penn State Smeal College of Business, we offer students the opportunity to explore topics such as academic majors, internships, career planning, college to career transition, and leadership development with an alumni mentor. Mentors can share their perspectives from the business world. I currently mentor undergraduate students at Penn State for one year. I am also an inaugural Advisory Board member of the Tarriff Center for Business Ethics and Social Responsibility to advance ethical business practices globally.

I currently am a member of the Planning Commission (PC) and the Vice Chair of the Environmental Advisory Council (EAC). The PC is an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors, making recommendations for land development and subdivision applications, zoning and building code ordinances, and matters of long-range planning. The EAC is also an advisory body focusing on environmental issues that directly and indirectly affect the Township. The EAC reviews properties for inclusion in the plan to preserve Upper Makefield’s Farmland and Open Space and makes recommendations to the Board. The EAC also comments on various environmental issues such as watershed restoration and reviews appropriate land development ordinances.

The Upper Makefield Business Association is a non-profit, non-partisan association organized to stimulate interest in the development, promotion and public affairs of the Township and to promote good will and well-being throughout the community. All proceeds from our fund-raising activities go toward the UMBA Scholarship fund or are directly donated back into the community. Currently a member of our Scholarship, Rev Run, and Marketing committees.
