• Maintain/Support EDA tools: Agilent-EEsof’s ADS/RFDE, Momentum, IC-CAP, and Ansoft’s HFSS.• Converted TADS HEMT design kit to work with new versions of ADS. Trouble shoots designs.• Perform reliability and failure analysis on radiation-hardened integrated circuits, such as ASICs & FPGAs.• Perform measurements and simulations of satellite system circuits in support of production and development.

Developed Inductor models for their Silver and Nicklel backend process. • Wrote White Paper and presented it to 120 potential customers at the IEEE International Microwave Symposium.• Gave Company Technology presentation to over 20 engineers at a local IEEE-MTT meeting in Seattle, WA.• Designed inductors, variable capacitors, and microwave filters using Ansoft HFSS v.8.5 & Optimetrics v. 2.5.• Characterized RF and microwave components using coplanar probe station and network analyzer.

Simulaton of Dual hetrojunction BJT's from a InGaP (III-V) process used in Power Amps. • Trained 25+ PA design engineers and reviewed HBT3-PA Load-Pull results to senior engineering managers.• Developed and published HBT3-PA and HBT3-PA GSM Load-Pull Reports, comparing measured and simulatedPAE, Pout, Gain, IM3 power sweeps, PAE, Pout load-pull contours, etc., for PA designers.• Initiated GSM Power Amplifier Efficiency Analysis Effort, which directly led to a multi-site team effort toincrease power added efficiency (PAE) from less than 61% to greater than 65%.• Published HBT3-PA Technology Design Guide containing model usage, validation, parameters, 1/f noise report.

Design RFIC's. • Managed CDR’s (Critical Design Reviews) documentation for taped-out Products: BT2576 and BT1074.• Designed 2.4 GHz CMOS LNA, down-conversion mixers, and buffers for the BT2576A chip: prototype.• Created ADS IBM5S Design Kit by translating HSpice process library models for the 2.4 GHz chip design.• Designed CMOS IF Mixer for the BT1038 Pager chip: working prototype.• Co-designed BiCMOS RF VCO for the 900 MHz ISM BT1074 chip: in production.

• Created low-cost LC filter for satellite receivers, replacing crystal filter and yielding a 90% unit savings.• Created ISO9000 specification satellite receiver PCB layouts and their Gerber files to produce PCB’s.

• Adapted Method of Moment (MOM) computer codes, to model the radar cross-section of various systems. • Adapted the same code to a Finite Difference and Finite Element Method Code.

Antennas and RCS at Skunk Works. • Adapted Method of Moment (MOM) computer codes, to model the radar cross-section of various systems.• Developed algorithm for predicting oblique incident 2-D Antenna/RCS (Radar Cross Section) patterns.• Member of four man team that designed proprietary and patented reflector dish for indoor RCS range.

• Designed the F-14 LSA antenna's corporate feed network, power windows (CIP/PIP award – saving USN $2M).• Developed scattering matrix algorithm to describe N-port microwave circuits in terms of elementary units.• Coordinated technicians in producing a library of scattering matrix data (E-Bends, power dividers, etc.).

Stationed at: Yokota AFB, Japan; Keesler AFB, Biloxi, MS; Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. Maintained quality, determined causes of outages, and coordinated repairs of over 300 communication circuits.
