I now work in a two man operations team in the office at CTS' Heathrow laboratory overseeing a growing team of over twenty materials technicians of all levels of capability. I liaise with clients daily to accept and arrange their works and organise our technicians to exceed our clients expectations, and upon receiving the results of their works, will report the findings of the tests.Less often, both Operations supervisors will interview applicants for new technician roles and perform probation reviews for our newer staff members.

Upon my return to my role as a materials technician, I was tasked with leading concrete testing trials, managing the fleet of vans for our nuclear density gauges, ensuring our stores and equipment were well stocked with hardware and perishables and training new technicians on both basic and technical testing. I was also made key contact for any works relating to HS2 in the greater London area.

I joined a team of 6 to aid in the running of a small site laboratory where I learned basic soil stabilization protocol, and the interpretive testing required.After a particularly rainy autumn, I relocated to one of CET's main laboratory's based in Colnbrook, where I learned more soil testing, as well as branching out further into concrete testing.

At Blacks, I learned how to tidy a shopfront, how to fold all kinds of clothing properly, how to fit shoes and boots both in terms of a physical shoe size and for what a customer needed the shoes/boots for and what clothing brands offered in terms of outdoor clothing performance.On several occasions I was also approached to create several displays for the store, showcasing our range of camping ready meals and gas cookers.
