I began to learn basic HTML during a year 9 IT class at my secondary school (Bishop Luffa school). This sparked further interest in programming and understanding of the web, both from a technological standpoint and also towards business, user interaction and influence online. During the first year of my GCSE's in year 10, I took part in the Young Enterprise scheme and I designed and developed a company website for our group which won the regional award for best company site during the scheme.I spent a week's work experience with a web design company who helped show me the day to day runnings of their company and further increased my interest in Web design and development. I studied Computer Studies at AS and A2 in 6th form and produced several PHP and MySQL project based database systems during the 2 year course period.I received help and guidance in learning and improving my skills, undertaking several internship positions with various digital agencies as part of my education across GCSE's, A Levels and throughout my University degree. I attended the University of Chichester, studying Information Management for Business with a year’s professional placement, graduating with a 1st Class Degree. I have worked with several agencies over the past 13 years, as well as some full-time contracting roles, and also as a part time freelancer. I currently code with HTML5, SCSS, PHP, MySQL, Postgres, Rails, NodeJS, ReactJS and React Native to name but a few. I am a big fan of the Brunch build tool in parallel with the Yarn package manager and have a keen interest in DevOps with proficiencies in LAMP stack server configuration and management.
