Harry Golash phone numbers
I earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech and then attended graduate school in Robotics at Carnegie Mellon. I am fortunate enough to have worked on cutting-edge scientific research and engineering projects in multiple different fields across the years. Currently, I am fascinated by decentralized finance and the smart-contracts that run on various blockchains to make it possible. What started as mining cryptocurrencies in 2013 is now my full-time passion. I want to remove inefficiencies in legacy bureaucracy and finance through this new infrastructure.

FounderAlqamar Technologies Dec 2017 - PresentDec 2017 - Dec 2018:Built a custom GPU-cloud-computing cluster that paired with bespoke parallel-processing software for industry research and machine-learning analysis, on a case-by-case basis.Dec 2018 - Dec 2020:Repurposed our GPU cluster and paired it with natural language processing bots to speculatively mine and trade proof-of-work cryptocurrencies. Later repurposed the cluster again for algorithmic trading.Jan 2021 - Present:Shifted focus to the development of decentralized applications and managing of long-term investments.

FounderGolash Technologies Nov 2015 - Aug 2017Created custom solutions for multiple research laboratories and industry clients to reduce equipment costs. The startup was based on the principle of creating bespoke software that ran on open-source hardware (Arduinos, SBCs), thus reducing the final cost of conducting research and gathering data.Nov 2015 - July 2016: Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, JapanBuilt the experimental apparatus and control system used to freeze magnetite-doped biological samples to sub-zero temperatures while avoiding crystallization and consequent rupture of cells. Designed and built a custom electrohydrodynamic drying (EHD) apparatus for the ELSI labs.https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27087604/https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29735681/July 2016 - Jun 2017: Caltech, Pasadena, CaliforniaUpgraded software and apparatus within the Kirschvink lab. Built a helmet used to switch magnetoreception polarity in the human brain from a Northern- to a Southern-Hemispherean tendency, using the electrical discharge from a modified rTMS machine.https://www.eneuro.org/content/6/2/ENEURO.0483-18.2019 Jun 2017 - Aug 2017: Sepro Robotique, La Roche-sur-Yon, FranceCreated a preventative maintenance protocol based on machine-learning to reduce manufacturing downtime. Data from multiple sensors installed onto the industrial robots was fed through a neural network running on the Azure cloud to predict service requirements and the likelihood of failure of certain parts.

Process EngineerApplied Medical Jul 2015 - Oct 2015Rancho Santa Margarita, CaInvented and prototyped various fixtures and tools to improve production quality and yield for the manufacture of surgical instruments. Tested injection molding and sheet stamping protocols for the mass production of device components. Coordinated design, assembly, and testing teams to increase throughput. -
Research EngineerInstitute Of Science Tokyo (Science Tokyo) Jul 2014 - Aug 2014Tokyo, JapanDesigned a custom LED optical system to detect freezing in magnetically-doped liquid samples. Created a Windows application to monitor and record data from thermocouples while simultaneously checking for freezing of samples. -
Undergraduate Research StaffCaltech Jun 2014 - Jul 2014Pasadena, CaImproved alternating field (AF) demagnetizing equipment for the analysis of rock core samples, increasing research throughput. Designed and fabricated custom lab apparatus for conducting geophysical lab experiments. Created Windows applications in C# for monitoring and displaying data. -
Summer Undergraduate Research FellowCaltech Jun 2013 - Aug 2013Pasadena, California / Apiro, ItalyUpgraded a thermal demagnetizing furnace with additional thermocouples for 3D temperature modeling. Programmed a user-friendly Windows application to monitor and execute proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control on the temperature of rock samples, via relay control of the heating coils and air flow. -
Summer Undergraduate Research FellowCaltech Jun 2012 - Aug 2012Pasadena, California / Madrid, SpainModeled HVAC loads and heat transfer in Caltech’s proposed 2013 Solar Decathlon Houses with FEHT software, based on analysis of local weather data. Researched and designed HVAC systems with a focus on the applications of Phase Change Materials (PCM) on passive temperature control and heat retention.
