Aim: to investigate the effect of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) on cognitive functioning (working memory) in patients with Schizophrenia.- Recruited all participants for the randomised clinical trial- In charge of the study budget, detailing participant payments and other expenses using excel- Worked in a team and collaborated with other health care professionals to ensure an efficient and effective strategy for the research- Administered tDCS and provided cognitive remediation (training)- Statistical analysis: Calculating d prime values, mixed model repeated measure ANOVAs, post-hoc testing (Bonferroni corrections)- Writing up of the report (MSc dissertation)

Part of a young team that provides resources for customers who have difficulties with day-to-day activities. The store aids the customer by providing tools to self-manage their condition. This rewarding job has shown me that sufficient communication and multi-dimensional thinking was essential to find the best solution in the interest of the customer.

Worked as a physiotherapist on the Neurology/Neurosurgery ward and was responsible for treating patients with an underlying neurological disease or post-operation. As a specialist in movement, I had to conduct a thorough physical and neurological assessment to determine the patient's functional capability in terms of motor function. This input was important during MDOs (multidisciplinary meetings), as I was part of a rehabilitation team consisting of an occupational therapist, speech therapist, and rehabilitation doctor. The combined input of diverse disciplines allowed for a multidisciplinary approach to design and executing treatment plans for patients admitted to these wards, thereby contributing to excellent healthcare. Other tasks included: literature search via databases (e.g. PubMed), providing and attending interdisciplinary clinical lectures, and attending ICU and first aid courses. Overall, this internship has significantly strengthened my knowledge about neurological diseases and improved my skillsets as a physiotherapist in assessing and treating patients with underlying neurological pathology.

Task included taking patient histories, physical assessments, designing treatment plans and executing treatments (EBP). Furthermore, I introduced E-health to the clinic to improve patient access. This intern has shown that innovation and out-of-the-box thinking can contribute significantly to improve patient care.

Internship to develop my competencies as a Physiotherapist under the supervision of an experienced Physiotherapist. Being able to work efficiently and with structure was essential for providing the patient with excellent Physiotherapy care. As a result of this internship, a critically appraised topic (CAT) was written to determine if Graded Motor Imagery could be used as an intervention to treat patients with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). This required communication with the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute (NOI-group) in Australia, who helped me with questions regarding the new method 'GMI'.

Internship based on the diagnostic process and treatment of elderly patients with comorbidities. This required literature research about the most common disorders I encountered, such as 'Cerebro Vascular Accident'​ (CVA), Osteoporosis and 'Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease' (COPD). This allowed me to substantiate my hypotheses and treatment (Evidence-Based Practice). In addition, working with elderly patients allowed me to gain greater insight into the pathology and mechanisms of the human body. Providing healthcare to elderly patients is challenging since many factors need to be considered - this requires innovative, creative, and applicable ideas to treat the elderly patient.

Worked as an Apple sales professional at the A-mac store in The Hague. This required pragmatic work to maintain a high level of sales on a daily basis. Responsibilities included advising clients, assisting clients with purchases and attending the Apple sales training at other A-mac stores. Gathering knowledge about the newest developments concerning Apple was required.
