SDSU Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary engineering and business robotics club which focuses on giving students real-world and hands-on experience through challenging projects. Mechatronic's main objective is to compete in the Annual International RoboSub (AUVSI) Competition. For this competition we build an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) that competes in various course objectives underwater, i.e. hitting a green buoy. Mechatronics placed first of more then thirty schools in the 2016 competition. RoboAir is the other project mechatronics works on which is meant to compete in the Student Unmanned Aerial Systems international (SUAS) competition held in Maryland. The 20160 competition will be the first attempt at making a UAV capable of long distance tracking and dropping a payload. Mechatronics has high hopes for the team that is assembled and working on the RoboAir Project. Mechatronics is still a fairly new organization and is still constantly growing.

While working at Johnson's Catering I was able to do many different jobs which needed to be fulfilled on a daily basis. I perform tasks such as manage the item database to make sure it is up to date and has all the correct product information. I also manage the security surveillance and record keeping as well. In our daily business I have had the opportunity to work with many different vendors and customers. Through these interactions I had to define buying prices from the vendors which would lead to increase sales due to lower prices then competitors. Along with these important duties I perform daily operations as well such as stocking products and janitorial work to keep business clean and flowing.
