What a wild ride... We were going to change the world. That meant it was okay to work crazy hours and love every minute. The insane valuation the company got when we went public at the height of the dot-com boom was just icing on the cake.Then, after the bubble burst, realizing that nobody was buying our cutting edge products and that we weren't adding real lasting value made me totally re-evaluate my priorities.What a great learning experience.

I helped build the first cable modem. Our beta test was the first time I had internet access at home, and totally rocked my world.
