I volunteer as an instructor where I teach young people aged 12 - 19 on a range of subjects including First Aid, Cyber Communications and Leadership. I am also in charge of recruitment where it is my job to help new recruits settle in and teach their basic training as well as helping them grow and develop within the organisation.

This role has taught me how to give excellent customer service as well as consigning stock, merchandising products and helping customers find the right mobile offer for them. I also assist customers with any issues they have including setting up phones, booking phones in for repair and dealing with insurance.

This role has taught me how to work to tight deadlines and has given me the ability to work under pressure to achieve targets and KPIs to an excellent standard. During my time in the Computing department I became the stores Apple Expert. My role in the store gave me extra duties on top of my normal duties such as keeping on top of stock, ensuring tickets, promos and pricing was up-to-date and checking reports and figures to ensure we are hitting targets and using that report to highlight any potential sales gains and then delivering training in the right areas to colleagues to help drive up figures and also ensure all colleagues are confident talking and selling Apple products and services.
