Harry is an entrepreneur and international senior executive in the energy software industry. He has a history of 30 years successfully building software products and solutions, including with his company, Spirit Innovative Technologies (in short: Spirit IT). Harry was CEO until Spirit IT was acquired by the ABB Group in 2014. After his studies at the Technical University of Eindhoven and Open University in Heerlen, Harry started off his career as technology driven software developer for the energy sector in the Netherlands. After 15 years of product development and various leading roles in the Dutch software industry, he started his own software company Spirit IT that focused on real-time data acquisition systems and innovative big data analysis for the energy sector. From its startup in 2001, the company grew into an international organization with R&D & sales offices in Eindhoven, Houston, and Kuala Lumpur.In 2009 onwards, Spirit IT became strategic partner to various large energy companies including Chevron, Shell and Petronas, the national player in Malaysia. Focused on development & deployment of national-wide measurement software solutions and custody transfer flow computers, the company became a technology leader in the oil & gas industry. Harry, being CEO and owner, led the strategic acquisition of Spirit IT by ABB in 2014 for which he remained a senior executive until 2017.From 2014 onwards, Harry has been involved in various startup and scaleup companies in the Netherlands as informal investor, coach and mentor in which role he focuses on personal coaching, strategy, R&D, business development and international sales.
