I consider myself well rounded leader in the manufacturing operations arena. I have spent my career continually expanding my understanding of what keeps a supply chain flowing. I scored my first break at 19 years old when I landed a junior buyer position at a hydraulic components distributor, and have parlayed my way thorough virtually all aspects of materials management. I take pride in being continual learner, and this habit has served me well. When challenged by the introduction of computerized MRP, I saw the importance of mastering the body of knowledge surrounding supply chain management and obtained my Certificate in Production and Inventory Management. When awarded a battle field promotion to management, I saw the need to go back to school. Last year I conferred a Bachelors degree in Business Management. I now am involved in sharing this knowledge by teaching the APICS curriculum.My peers have heard my spiel that I am either inherently lazy or very productive. Bottom Line… I enjoy my work in manufacturing operations and plan to continue to work with my peers to find ways that we can continually improve our business processes and eliminate waste where ever it exists.
