    I wrote features, reviews and other pieces for TIME in both its online and print incarnations, reporting from San Francisco and serving as the magazine's liaison to Silicon Valley. My September 2013 cover story, "Google vs. Death"--written with my colleague Lev Grossman--featured my interview with Google CEO Larry Page and broke the news of Google's new human-longevity startup Calico. I also wrote major pieces on Kickstarter and Minecraft; provided the first in-depth look at Google's Project Ara; uncovered a 90-minute Steve Jobs keynote that had gone unseen for 30 years; and reviewed major products.During my tenure at TIME I appeared on the CBS Evening News, CNBC and other television programs; spoke at SXSW Interactive and other conferences; and judged American Business Media's Jesse H. Neal Awards.

    In September of 2010, Technologizer established a business and content partnership with TIME. I began writing a weekly column about personal technology for TIME's Web site. It too was called Technologizer. The column also appeared in print issues. During this time, I also wrote other stories for TIME, including an obituary of Steve Jobs which became part of the magazine's cover package on his death, one of three issues that were part of the submission that won ASME's Magazine of the Year award.

    In July 2008 I launched Technologizer, a new site and community about the Web, mobile phones, consumer electronics, and PCs and Macs. Within months of going live, we reached around 400,000 unique visitors a month and were named one of PC Magazine's 100 top blogs. As editor of Technologizer, I was named the #1 techie to follow on Twitter by TechRepublic and the best gadget guru by Kiplinger's Personal Finance; PCMag.com named me to its list of the 100 People to Follow on Twitter. Technologizer won the 2011 Western Publications Association award for best web article/consumer and the 2011 award for best online article in Min’s Editorial and Design Awards.Media appearances included ABC World News Now, NPR's Science Friday, Fox News's Strategy Room, TWiT, Bloggingheads.tv, and more.On the business side, I established a content and advertising partnership with Federated Media which resulted in Technologizer hosting a microsite for HP and providing content to sites sponsored by Asus, Intel, and others.Technologizer also had a live events business. We held meetups in the San Francisco area with sponsors such as Seagate and coproduced the popular Last Gadget Standing event at CES. Working with Modern Media, I also created Twtrcon, the first conference on Twitter for business.In 2012, Technologizer became part of TIME.com.
