In my role at the HMS King Alfred, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that have honed my leadership and communication skills. Below, I highlight two significant projects that showcase my ability to manage tasks independently and drive innovative change within the Royal Naval Reserves (RNR).Employer Notification (EN):My first independent project involved managing the Employer Notification (EN) process for the Royal Navy Reserves at HMS King Alfred. This annual process requires personalised letters to be written to each Part-Time Volunteer Reservist’s (PTVR’s) employer, detailing the past year's training and informing them of upcoming commitments.• Successfully delivered over 160 EN letters to more than 120 employers nationwide.• Efficiently communicated with the UK’s largest RNR unit, collaborating with a range of personnel from OR-1 to OF-5. • Balanced this time-consuming task alongside my regular duties, enhancing my task management and communication skills.Implementation of MyReserves Application:Another significant project was the implementation of MyReserves, an application designed to provide PTVRs with easy access to tools and services to manage their RNR career. This project required effective decision-making as my choices directly impacted the future of the unit and the wider RNR.• Collaborated with other Civil Servants and communicated effectively with a variety of stakeholders from the RNR – working closely with NC-HQ.• Worked with senior rates, high-ranking officers, developers, and contractors nationwide to ensure the new system was fit for purpose.• Played a key role in the development and testing of the app, identifying and resolving potential errors early on.• Drove innovative change by simplifying and digitalising the admin and pay systems for the second largest RNR unit in the UK.

Since 2022 I had the opportunity to work as an Assistant Property Manager within a small firm in the greater Portsmouth area. I have actively contributed to the successful management of rent-to-rent HMOs, demonstrating a keen understanding of the intricacies of property operations. My role has given me the chance to engage and learn various facets of property development, allowing me to cultivate a well-rounded skill set in the dynamic real estate industry.
