I am an outpatient counselor at McDonough District Hospital's Behavioral Health Services. I also teach psychology as an adjunct at Spoon River College.Community mental health is of great importance to me. I have provided direct clinical services to individuals across several rural community mental health settings in hopes of improving each individual's symptoms and increasing overall community wellbeing. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I earned a Master of Science degree from Western Illinois University's Clinical/Community Mental Health Psychology program, where I received training in person-centered, interpersonal, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. My training at WIU deepened my undergraduate studies in psychology and neuroscience, as well as my field experiences as a Crisis Clinician. During graduate school, I was fortunate to have worked at the WIU Psychology Clinic and to have interned at the local community mental health center. I am also grateful to have been awarded the Alphons J. Richert Scholarship. I was inducted into the Psi Chi and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies during graduate school as well.
