Joined EMI as a volunteer intern architect during an internship semester at Kansas State University. Immersed in a new culture and vastly expanded my "bubble", living, working, and learning in India. Worked on two major project trips to aid local NGOs, alongside some permanent staff and several visiting professionals. In the course of a week, we documented existing conditions, met with clients, programmed, designed, and presented concepts in collaborative charettes - hand sketches and SketchUp models. Worked with a small team of architects and engineers who oversaw my work and helped me grow professionally and personally.
