Assistant Underwriter in the Specialty Reinsurance team at XL Catlin.Classes of business underwritten include Marine, Energy, Political Risk & Credit, Terrorism & PV and Aviation.Responsibilities include:- Assisting with the pricing and underwriting of the book - Reviewing slips and ensuring clauses are suitable and match XL Catlin preferred wordings- Monitoring aggregates and RDS/Threat scenarios to the book- Quoting business in conjunction with underwriters- Making decisions on endorsements- Building relationships with brokers- Reporting and presenting to senior management on quarterly variance- Managing overall portfolio numbers and loss figures- Ensuring premium and data entry are recorded correctly on systems

I have also spent time with both the International Open Market Property and Downstream Energy underwriting teams.
