(40%FTE role) Science manager for TNO Vector, a 100+FTE research center. In this role part of TNO Vector's management team and responsible for science strategy, knowledge development programmes, and overall scientific quality.

- Project leader of a range of high-profile energy projects, including the annual TNO/PBL/RVO reflection on the decarbonization plans of the Dutch industrial clusters and provinces for the Ministry of Climate Policy and Green Growth.- Core programme management team member of the TNO-wide strategic change program System Innovation, set up to advance systems thinking within TNO.- Mentor for junior/medior colleagues.

Research design, research, and project management with a focus on quantitative and qualitative analysis of energy and transport markets, including team member of the Expert Team Energy System 2050 working group.

PhD supervision and incidental teaching/research work.

Responsible for operational management of all teaching activity in the Mechanical Engineering discipline, spanning 30+ courses across 6+ programmes taught by over 50 members of staff.

(equivalent to tenured assistant professor)- Leading a research group working on techno-economic energy systems analysis with a particular focus on decision making under uncertainty. - Using mathematical methods, including optimisation and equilibrium modelling, statistics, and other tools to answer economic questions about engineering systems. - Teaching energy economics, macro/microeconomics, engineering mathematics, and statistics.- Helping commercial clients with questions related to energy markets and energy system modelling as an independent consultant.

Sabbatical fellowship to work on research questions related to energy system and market modelling under uncertainty and risk.

Part-time secondment to research data science applications in energy systems, looking particularly at the value of new energy data sources to market participants.

- Research on the industrial organisation of network markets, using optimisation and equilibrium models to investigate transport network formation (how, for instance, rail networks evolve depending on market structures and the forward-lookingness of market participants), network operation (e.g.; how various forms of competition in networks influence profits and social benefits) and regulation.- BA and MSc thesis supervision and delivery of tutorials on transport econometrics, environmental economics, and welfare economics.

Conducting research on electricity transmission expansion planning and electricity market design, as part of the EPSRC Supergen FlexNet initiative. Included development of a stochastic transmission/generation investment and dispatch model for the UK to quantify the benefits of using stochastic transmission planning, as well as other models.

Teaching small groups of 3th/4th year undergraduate students in the Judge Business School's Management Studies Tripos.
