About Harry Wain
Learning and Development Manager | Coach | People Person I have done a lot of things in my career, some more successfully than others, but what has drawn them all together is my passion for people, and their potential to succeed. From working in Corporate Social Responsibility/Social Value, delivering opportunities in communities that need them most, to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, examining at a global level how business can be more inclusive, to Learning and Development, aligning peoples individual goals and motivations to the success of the business, to Organisational Design and Development, creating a future proof structure for the business, complete with development led succession plans. My focus has always been people. Coaching is helping take my work in Learning and Development to the next level, helping other people understanding and realise their full potential. It is also providing me with the chance to add value to people outside of my organisation, creating an out of hours coaching practice that focuses on the development of Emotional Intelligence. By promoting self-awareness, we can understand the emotions that we experience, whilst examining how those emotions effect our reactions and behaviours.From knowledge comes power, we can use that emotional knowledge to guide the decisions that we make, managing and adapting our emotions to overcome the barriers we put in place so we can achieve our goals. My career has taught me that people’s potential is limitless, it is individual’s motivation, confidence and resilience that drives business and society on. Change doesn’t just happen, we rely on individuals to drive that change. As a society we need those people, and If I can help someone develop their self-awareness and use their emotions to achieve not just goals but happiness, I will have played my part in that change.

As Bid Coordinator my responsibilities run as follows : •Receipt of Tender document from prospective client and with the Bid Manager and Pre-Construction Director allocate work to technical Pre-Construction teams (Planning, Design, Health and Safety etc). •Production of tender specific Non-Technical written copy for the tender, including CVs, previous build experience in a specific field. •Liasing with sub-contractors for the production of specific elements of the tender such as Site Waste Management Procedures, BREEAM documents etc. •Coordinating with technical teams in house to produce copy and material in line with clients specified time table and content requirements. •Production of final Tender in InDesign, by placing all material produced by technical teams, subcontractors and Myself into a document that is of a sufficient standard to win that piece of work. •Liaise with external Sources such as printers and couriers to ensure that document is delivered to the client within the timetable allocated. •Tender Value has been between £3m and £40m •Managing multiple tenders (2-4 at any one time) •Familiarity with the IESE and OJEU frameworks of tender.
